PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSIVE
M.E. Hargan, OH, Sr., 6-1, Elizabethtown, Ky. - Morehead State
Hargan collected 48 kills (5.33/set) and had a hitting percentage of .371 while tallying seven aces, three blocks, three assists and 59.5 points (6.61/set). The senior started the week with 10 kills and three aces in a win over Tennessee State. She generated 23 kills hitting .435 in a sweep over Southeast Missouri on Friday. The outside hitter followed with 15 kills and tying her career-high with four service aces on Saturday. Hargan has posted the four highest kill totals in three-set matches this season in the OVC.

Ariadna Pereles, L/DS, So., 5-5, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico – Eastern Illinois
Pereles recorded 78 digs (6.5/set) leading EIU to a 3-0 record on the week. The sophomore produced 27 digs, seven assists, and one kill against Western Illinois. She recorded 25 digs in the opener at Little Rock and followed with 26 to close out the weekend.

SETTER
Sydney Sennett, S, Jr., 6-0, Normal, Ill. – Morehead State
Sennett drove Morehead State to a .331 hitting percentage and a 3-0 performance for the week. She posted 32 assists in sweep against Tennessee State and followed with 41 and 40 assists in the Eagles’ two sweeps at Southeast Missouri. The junior totaled 113 assists (13.5/set) with 13 digs, six kills, four blocks, two aces and 10 points.

FRESHMAN
Carley Wright, Fr., RS, North Richland Hills, Texas – Southern Indiana
Wright registered 31 kills (3.88/set), four digs, three blocks and 33 points (4.13/set) on the week. The freshman tallied a career-high 18 kills, hitting a .316 percent, while putting up two blocks in the opener against SIUE. She added a team high 13 kills, hitting 36-percent in the series finale.
