On Friday UIW fell in a non-conference game at Tulsa.

TULSA, Okla. - The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to Tulsa on Friday night at Hurricane Soccer Stadium. The Cardinals battled back to even the match early in the second half but were unable to find the late equalizer despite outshooting the Hurricanes in the final 45 minutes.
Tulsa controlled much of the opening half, capitalizing on a corner kick opportunity in the 22nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Hurricanes held the Cardinals without a shot until the 39th minute, when Danny Elizalde recorded UIW's first attempt of the match. Going into the half, Tulsa carried a 7-to-1 advantage in shots.
The Cardinals found their rhythm late in the first half and found their opportunity just 90 seconds into the second. Erik Rios delivered a corner kick to Giovanni Padilla, who saw his initial attempt blocked before finding the back of the net to bring the score even at one.
The score held for just four minutes before the Hurricanes reclaimed the lead, 2-1.
UIW generated more offensive pressure in the second half after Tulsa was reduced to 10 men following a red card in the 54th minute. The Cardinals put up six shots in the second half while limiting Tulsa to just three. Elizalde added his second shot of the night, while Rios, Evan Kraenzel and Juan Monrreal each threatened to find the equalizer, but UIW was unable to convert its late opportunities.
Tulsa received another red with just under two minutes remaining, leaving the Hurricanes with nine players on the field, but the Cardinals were unable to get a shot off before the final whistle.
